Note: everyone coming to the ranch will need to PRINT and read the liability form, fill it out completely, and mail it to the Ranch prior to your visit. We do require ORIGINAL FORMS with the signatures appearing on them.   Liability Release


Use this form only if you want to be a Mentor for One on One Sessions for summer 2017.
Mentors must be 18 or older by June 1, 2017.
The ideal Mentor:
*Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
*Must be affiliated with a church
*Must possess a desire to show love to all who visit the ranch
*Must be willing to support and contribute to the mission of H.U.G.S. Ranch
*Must submit an application
*Can give minimal instruction to those learning to ride a horse or advancing to a higher level
*Can lead children/teens in activities other than riding
*Can halter, groom, tack, and lead a horse with confidence
*Must have knowledge of horse behavior, nutrition, care, and safety
*Can deal appropriately with confrontation from children/teens, parents, or other volunteers
*Are caring, patient, and able to withhold criticism while holding the participant accountable to ranch rules
*Must be able to work one-on-one with children and teens ages 5-18
*Must abide by policies stated in the ranch Staff/Mentor Manual


Use this form only if you want to be a Wrangler for summer 2017.
Wranglers must be 14 years old by June 1, 2017.
The ideal Wrangler:
*Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
*Must be affiliated with a church
*Must possess a desire to show love to all who visit the ranch
*Must possess a willingness to support and contribute to the mission of H.U.G.S. Ranch
*Must submit an application
*Once accepted, wranglers will be required to attend training sessions 
*Must abide by policies as directed by the Ranch staff
*Must be equipped and willing to do a variety of Ranch duties
*Must be able to work both independently and in a group with minimal supervision
*Must be able to interact with children, teens, parents, and visitors appropriately


Use this form to let us know if you or your group would like to volunteer at the Ranch


Use this form only if you want to sign a child up for a one on one Spring/Summer sessions.
* Session participants must be age 5 to 18

* Submitting this application does not guarantee your child is accepted for the program. You will be contacted for days and times that are available

* Sessions are 90 minutes in length (or shorter depending on the child's needs). This time will include grooming, helping with a chore, and riding

* Parent or legal guardian must remain on site during the session time

* Child should bring a bottle of water or refillable cup

* Child should apply sunscreen when coming to the ranch and bring extra with them

* Long pants are suggested for riding. Shorts are acceptable for other activities

* Child must wear sturdy, closed toe/closed heel shoes. Crocs or sandals are unacceptable

* A hat for sun protection is suggested. A riding helmet will be provided and must be worn for safety

* Additional information and a liability form must be completed and at the ranch prior to beginning of session time

* A donation of $120 per child is suggested for the four weeks ($30.00 per session)



Use this form only if you want to schedule a Group Day at the ranch.
* Group day is Wednesday 9:00am to 11:30a.m. Please arrive for a prompt beginning and ending time
* Information and liability forms (one for each child) must be completed and at the ranch office one week prior to your group day
* Submitting this application does not guarantee a group day. You will be contacted for days that are available
* Please have each member of your group bring a bottle of water or refillable cup

2017 Horse camp application

Use this form only if you want to sign a child up for Horse Camp. 
*This is a Horse Camp NOT a Horse Therapy session (Informative camp to educate children on horse safety and riding lessons). 
*Horse Camp will be August 14 - 17 The child will come everyday (Mon-Thurs) from 9am to 11:30am. 
*This is open to the first 12 applicants. 
*Fee for camp days is $180  per child. Must be paid in full by July 1st. 
*Educational Day: open to all kids. Proceeds go to HUGS Ranch operational expenses.
